Will Curt Helux Pin Box Fit 2026 K-Z Durango 321RKT

Question:

Can we confirm that a 2026 K-Z Durango 321RKT will accept a Curt Helix pinbox? Or other recommendation to replace the generic pinbox on the trailer? Thx.

Hey Tom, so the Curt Helux pin boxes are made for the Rhino Pin boxes which there is a great chance your 2026 K-Z Durango 321RKT has that but I was not able to confirm for sure what pin box model it was designed for. So if that is the case the correct Curt Helux would be the part # C85MJ. But I would need you to check your pin box to make sure it is a Rhino. (EDIT: it was confirmed it is a Rhino)

The Rhino has a pretty tight bolt pattern that's pretty easy to recognize. See what is in the attached picture to see what I mean. If you have the three bolts close together in front row and then two in the back that's a good indicator as well.

I have a followup. These are the specs for the Curt you recommended. Minimum pin weight: 1,360 lbs Maximum pin weight: 2,950 lbs Optimal pin weight range: 2,378 lbs to 2,722 lbs The advertised pin weight on the 321RK is 2250lbs. But that’s empty right? Doesn’t it increase as weight increases? Is there enough top end range on this Curt to accommodate pin weight increases for an additional 2K lbs of cargo etc? Thanks

@TomT I looked up your loading pin weight (what it usually is) and the Curt Helux I recommended was the closest to that. Internet speculated around 2,600 lbs.

I’ve confirmed it is a rhino box on the trailer. Still would like an answer as to advertised pin weight vs loaded pin weight and how that affects the Curt Helux selection. Thx.
