Question:

Can someone at Etrailer help me with this? Output is 102 to 103 amps. See pics below. Is the unit bad or could it be something else? If the unit is bad, can you recommend a like replacement?

Hey Steve thanks for the pics! I am not familiar with your Magnum ME2012 inverter/charger because we do not carry them but I can offer you a recommendation for a replacement. For troubleshooting guidance, I would reach out directly to the manufacturer.

To replace your Magnum ME2012 inverter/charger, I recommend the Progressive Dynamics 2000 Watt Inverter w/ Transfer Switch item # PD64FR. This 2,000 watt inverter uses pure sine wave technology so it is perfect for sensitive electronics. It also has a integrated 30 amp transfer switch that automatically changes from inverter to shore power when you hook up at the campground. It can generate 4,000 starting watts and 2,000 running watts.

What kind of appliances and equipment are you powering?

I installed a Progressive Dynamics 2000 Watt Inverter w/ Transfer Switch on my travel trailer. We are able to run a hair dryer and toaster (not at the same time). The unit is quiet but does run a fan. I actually started my AC with the inverter without a problem. I don't have the battery capacity to run the AC.
