Question:
Can you use a 50 amp surge protector on a Motorhome that is a 30 amp? We need to purchase one but not sure which one to get because we are planning on upgrading Motorhome in the next couple of years.

A 50 amp surge protector like the Camco RV Power Defender Voltage Monitor - 50 Amp, # CAM55306, can be used but it will not not provide the level of protection that you need for your motorhome with 30 amp service.
A voltage monitor protects your motorhome from excessive voltage and power surges and automatically disconnects when dangerous levels are detected. Excessive voltage for a 30 amp service is much different that of a 50 amp service which means it would not disconnect at the correct time.
I recommend going with the Camco RV Power Defender 30 Amp Voltage Monitor, # CAM55301, for your motorhome.
