Looking for Fifth Wheel Hitch Separate from Fifth Wheel Rail Kit

Updated 06/23/2026 | Published 06/22/2026

Question:

My truck that i just recently purchased has rails for a 5th wheel hitch. Do you guys offer hitches without the rails? Thanks,

Hey Justin, yes we do have fifth wheel hitches separate from the rail kits we carry. You have a set of above bed fifth wheel rails that are 22 inches apart right? That is most likely what you have as it is the industry standard. For a fixed hitch that would work really well in that rail we have the B and W Patriot part # BWRVK3255 which has a really nice jaw design that will hold the king pin tightly for a smoother ride quality. How long is your truck bed?

Thanks for the info. I have a short bed truck. And yes I have above the bed rails.

@JustinM do you think you'll need a slider hitch for turning clearance? Does your trailer have a tapered nose?

@JamesonC I have never pulled a 5th wheel before. So I would feel better on having a slider. I haven’t purchased a camper yet. I’m still in the figuring out what I want

@Justin Makes perfect sense! In that case we do have the slider version of the Patriot I mentioned with part # BWRVK3270 which sounds like exactly what you are looking for.
