A brake controller that's easy to install, has a built-in safety system and quality, that would be the Curt TriFlex NEXT Trailer Brake Controller # C24VV.
The TriFlex NEXT is a proportional controller, so it applies the trailer brakes in proportion to how hard you're braking the truck. It also has built-in protection against shorts, trailer wiring faults and other electrical issues.
You'll need Universal Wiring Adapter for Curt Trailer Brake Controllers # C51515. You confirmed the factory tow wiring is under the hood, so the installation should be straightforward.
What do you tow most; trailer, camper, boat?

I installed this brake in my 2022 Ford Bronco. The installation was very easy and the break worked flawlessly. The Bronco was my first non-full-size Pick-up since 1998. I tow a bass boat and a 4 place snowmobile trailer. The Bronco had plenty of power for hauling but is a lighter vehicle and I didn't want to worry about braking. Although I have since gone back to a pick up truck, the Bronco, with that brake installed, was an excellent tow vehicle. The short wheel base spoiled me when it came to turning around and backing in tight spaces.
