Hi Tim! The Valterra Double Hose Shut-Off Valve # A01-0130VP does not have any ratings designating it as safe for drinking water. If you want a Y-style valve that is, I recommend getting the # CAM20123 instead. This is NSF/ANSI 61 certified and complies with California's AB1953 and Vermont Act 193 Low Lead Laws.
