How to Figure Out How Low the Curt Hitch part # C15810 Would Sit Below Bumper
Updated 07/17/2014 | Published 07/16/2014 >
Question:
How much below the stock bumper does this hang down? The photos of this installed on the Superduty do not have the bumper installed....... Is the receiver as tight to bumper as possible? I want clearance when I am wheeling and not towing. The side plates of the Reese hang down WAY too far, I can clearly see that from your photos. thank you very much,

While I don't know exactly how far the Curt Hitch part # C15810 would hang below the bumper of your 2002 Ford Superduty I can tell you how you can figure it out. I went out into our warehouse and measured the distance from the mounting surface of the hitch down to the hitch opening and found that it measures 5-1/2 inches. So basically if you measure 5-1/2 inches down below the rear frame of your truck that is where your hitch opening will be.
