Replacement for OEM 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Hitch Receiver

Question:

I’m wanting to replace the factory receiver hitch on my 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali with the 3.0 Duramax due to a worn pinhole. I would like to get a Class IV. Which one of the hitches that you guys sell will do that? Saw one of the Curt’s that looks like it bolts to the bottom of the factory hitch but I’d rather have a complete replacement.

Hey Matt!

We do have a hitch for your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali with the factory hitch, but it's going to be rated higher than the Class IV you were looking for. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V XD - 2" # C15307 is going to be your best option. The difference between the Class IV and Class V hitches is just their rated towing capacity, with Class IV being typically rated for around 5,000-12,000 lbs and Class V being around 10,000-12,000 lbs.

This won't change anything in regards to fitment. This hitch will bolt right up to the factory holes on your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500's frame to work as a full replacement for your OEM hitch receiver.

What in your setup is causing the pinhole to wear out?
