Hey Charles, thanks for reaching out. No, the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ADV74QR is not a direct replacement for a Dometic Brisk Air 2 unit. If you need to replace an older Dometic unit, you will need to replace the entire AC system - rooftop unit, controller, distribution box and thermostat. Main reason being that new AC units use a new R32 refrigerant, and old units use a different refrigerant type and these new units are not backwards compatible with the old refrigerant.
That said, Advent does offer the 15.5K BTU unit as a complete system. For that I recommend the following:
- Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - 15,500 Btu - Single Zone - Ducted - White - R32 # ADV99QR
- Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - 15,500 Btu - Air Distribution Box Controls - Non-Ducted - R32 # ADV39QR
Does your RV have a ducted or non-ducted setup?
