Where Do I Attach the SwingKing Bolt-On Swing Tongue Kit for a 3" x 5" Trailer Tongue TD43FR?

How much of the 3X5inch tubing is needed to be projecting from the trailer in order to bolt this swing hitch on? In referring to the instructions no dimension is provided as to how much tubing is required for a secure bolt on. Step two indicates drilling a hole to attach the safety chain but infers drill location at a point past the body of the swing hitch. Please see the attached image as a reference for the needed measurement. Thanks

Thanks for the pic Barry and welcome back! The SwingKing Bolt-On Swing Tongue Kit item # TD43FR requires a trailer tongue that is at least 18" long. The ends of your tongue after they're cut will need to be fully inserted on both sides of the item # TD43FR male castings.
The SwingKing item # TD43FR has varying capacities as well that are affected by the length of your tongue after it's installed. The range starts at 48" of tongue past the hinge, which is the longest length. It's got a 5,000 lbs capacity. If you go up to only 27" of tongue past the hinge you'll have a 9,000 lbs capacity. I attached a screenshot below from the installation instructions that shows the range of capacities.
The safety chains have to be installed before the SwingKing item # TD43FR your trailer's tongue. You can't mount them to the swing away or past them on the now hinged portion of the tongue.

Let's provide a bit more information. I still require the actual dimension of how much tubing is inserted into the SwingKing unit, see the original requested measurement as shown in diagram. The current damaged coupler is welled on; thus, I plan to cut it off and discard as waste. Thus, I need know how much of the trailers original 3"X5" tubing I need save which will dictate how damaged coupler is removed. As the current safety chains are attached to the body of the trailer, they will not come in play as part of the install and will remain intact other than adding additional length as needed. On the coupler end a new section of 3"x5" tubing will be utilized along with a new coupler. As for the trailer it's a specialized agricultural unit.
