Hello Jeff,

I'd be happy to help get your Mini Cooper set up for flat towing so it's ready for plenty of adventures behind your motorhome. Just like the picture I attached =)

Based on the information provided, these parts will work for the base model Mini Cooper. If your vehicle has a sport package or a special trim level, let me know and I'd be happy to verify everything and make any necessary adjustments.

For the base plate, I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms # BX1304. This installs on the front of the Mini and provides the attachment points for the tow bar while maintaining a clean appearance when the removable arms are taken out.

To connect the Mini to your motorhome, the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e47ZR is an excellent choice. It is compatible with the Blue Ox base plate and features a non-binding design that makes disconnecting much easier, even when you're parked on uneven ground.

For the lighting, the Roadmaster Bulb and Socket Tail Light Wiring Kit # RM-155 allows the motorhome's turn signals, brake lights, and running lights to operate independently of the Mini's factory wiring. This requires installing additional bulbs inside the taillight housings, which helps avoid any interaction with the vehicle's electrical system. You will want to cut off the 4 flat, and then wire it into the 6 way connector that comes with the Blue Ox 7-Wire to 6-Wire, Coiled Electrical Cord # BX88206.

This part I like to call "Peace of Mind" because that is exactly what it will give you, the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25. This will ensure that your battery is not dead when you get to your destination.

For supplemental braking, I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System # BLU37TR. This proportional braking system sits on the driver's side floorboard and applies the Mini's brakes in proportion to the braking action of your motorhome. To complete the installation, you'll also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751440, which provides the brake signal required for proper operation of the Patriot system.

I also attached our Dealer Locator if you do not feel like doing the install yourself, this will help you find someone in your area that is qualified to get the job done.

Please make sure that you look in your owners manual and follow the correct steps to flat tow your 2007 Mini Copper, I found towing with a tow bar on page 114.
