Hey Jim congrats on the new SUV. To add a hitch to a 2026 BMW X6 M60 or a 40i xDrive & M-Sport, you'll need the Stealth Hitches item # SH89VR.

For a 2026 BMW X6M Competition on a F96 Chassis, you'll need the Stealth Hitches item # SH84MR.

Both of these hitches are custom fit and come with the 2" accessory receiver you'll need to haul a bike rack.

I installed the stealth on my 2022 X5 45E. It took longer than expected but the instructions provided were for a 40i, not a 45E. The 45e is a hybrid with a giant battery. This hitch is used with a Thule Pro XT with two Pedego e-bikes. Mine weighs 60 lbs and tge other one likely 50lbs. It has gone in over 1200 miles drives in one day multiple times. No issues. I should torque again . My wife has tge same hitch on a 2025 Mercedes GlC300. On the 2022, I had to cut a piece of plastic out.

Works great. As advertised. Cannot pull trailers. Sticks out a bit so you can open trunk or hatch. However not a easy install. But doable.

Had installed by my local BMW dealer in less than 3 hours on my 2026 X5. Works great with my 4 bike Kuat rack but cannot tow trailer as no lights hook up (and dealer said wouldn’t touch the electrical even if I bought the version that comes with the lights hook up). It does stick out but I’ve kept it connected as a hassle to take off lock and disconnect. I’ll remove it in the winter months when not biking. Definitely worth purchasing if you don’t have a factory hitch and tow package.
