Question:
I purchased a trailer hitch 2023 for my car. I sold that car and now I have a 2025 Ford Escape. The hitch I bought was a e89YR. Next question, do I need all 6 spring coil wires to self install it on my new vehicle? Please let me know. Thank you

Hey Maria welcome back and congrats on your new Escape. To reinstall our etrailer item # e89YR on your 2025 Ford Escape, you'll need the Replacement Hardware Kit item # RHK.
The hardware that comes with a hitch is only meant to be installed and torqued to specs one time. Reusing the bolts and nuts is dangerous because of thread wear, metal fatigue, and corrosion. Hitch bolts are subjected to high torque and constant shear forces. Metal stretches and weakens over its lifespan, severely reducing its tensile strength. You don't want to worry about your bolts breaking if you're towing a trailer or hauling a bike rack or cargo carrier.
The Replacement Hardware Kit item # RHK will have all of the bolts, nuts, spacers, and 6 fish wire tool you need to install our etrailer Hitch item # e89YR. You will want to go to the item # RHK product page and on the right hand side where it says Hitch Item Number you'll want to insert e89YR.
I have linked an installation video along with the instructions so you can see how to get our etrailer Hitch item # e89YR reinstalled on your new 2025 Ford Escape.
What do you plan on using your hitch for once you get it reinstalled?
