Hello Bud,

Thanks for writing in!

For your 2022 Coachmen Prism, I recommend the EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7352. The Prism is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, and this hitch is designed to fit the Sprinter 3500/3500XD models used under these motorhomes.

The hitch provides a 2-inch receiver opening and is a great solution for carrying accessories such as a bike rack, cargo carrier, or other front-mounted equipment. It installs using the factory mounting locations on the chassis, so there is no drilling required into the frame.

While RV manufacturers can occasionally add components that require minor adjustments during installation, # 306-X7352 is the front receiver hitch I would recommend for your Prism based on the chassis it is built on.

I attached an image of the EcoHitch on a Tiffin (same chassis), looks like that guy is having some fun =)

What are you planning to use the front receiver for on your travels?

Mounted well. Probably 3-4 hours. Only unexpected issue was the instructions don’t talk about sliding the hitch under the DEF tank on a 2018 3500. That was the only curve ball.

@Todd Thanks for the feedback, Todd! Glad to hear the install went smoothly overall. We appreciate you mentioning the DEF tank clearance on your 2018 Ram 3500. That's a helpful tip for anyone tackling the same install. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

I have a front and rear hitch receiver on my 2018 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500. There was 'no (real) issue' installing each hitch receiver. Trim a bit on the front, and 'fight' one rear bracket passed the exhaust pipe. Not a big deal.

@HappyO Thanks for sharing your experience! We're glad to hear both hitch installations went well overall. We also appreciate you pointing out the minor trimming on the front hitch and the tight fit around the exhaust when installing the rear hitch. Those details can be really helpful for other Sprinter owners. Thanks again for the feedback!
