Question:

I am looking for a roof rack for my 2007 Acura MDX Naked Roof. One option shows up is the Rhino-Rack 2500, with a pair of 54inch bar. While the other options such as Thule or Inno both use 58 inch long bar for MDX. I am confused by the two different length. is 54inch enough for MDX?

You have to consider the whole system and how the designs are different. Since they are all different the bars won't necessarily be all the same. There are some designs, for example from Inno, that have bars that are even shorter because the way the feet are designed they have to be a certain length.

If you want to go with a quality aero bar roof rack the Rhino-Rack is a great choice. You will need the following parts to install it on your 2007 Acura MDX with naked roof:

2500 Roof Rack # RRVA137B-2
Legs # RRRLKVA
Custom fit kit # DK176

If you want a more factory look I recommend the Inno rack # INXB115-123 with flush feet # INXS200, and fit kit # INK590. These racks will be more aerodynamic and quieter compared to a square bar system.
