I’m replacing the jack on my small aluminum fishing boat trailer. I still need a wheel because I move the trailer around in the garage by hand, but I’d really like the drill option. What would you use?

Good morning Steve! For a boat trailer jack where you still want a wheel, I’d use the etrailer Sidewind Aluminum Jack with Wheel - Swivel Bolt - 1.5K # e95YV.

That one gives you a 1,500 lb capacity, 12" of travel, and a built-in wheel so you can move the tongue around in the garage or at the ramp. It is also the aluminum version with stainless steel hardware, so it makes more sense around water than a standard painted steel utility jack.

For drill operation, it includes a 19mm socket, and I’d stick with a regular non-impact drill. But you can always just use the crank handle instead of course. Are you launching mostly in freshwater or saltwater?
