Updated 05/18/2026 | Published 05/16/2026

Question:

Hello, I have a 1999 Shasta Phoenix, 30 amp camper and the converter blue and the power cord at the end melted at the power pole because I did not have a battery in it and was trying to bring in the slide. I think I overloaded it I need to go ahead and replace the converter and box I might as well change it all just in case and do you also have the cord with the head and is this the correct one that I am looking at?

Hey Kaleb, thanks for the pictures. I wasn't able to get any identifying information off of your power center or converter. The WFCO Auto Detect RV Converter and AC/DC Distribution Panel item # WF96FR you were looking at could definitely work as a replacement though.

The WFCO item # WF96FR is a 35-amp distribution panel with a built in converter charger. It works with lithium and lead acid batteries. It measures 11-7/8" wide x 5-5/16" long x 8-1/4" tall and fits cutouts 10-3/8" wide x 4-1/8" long x 7" tall. You'll want to take a couple measurements to ensure this is the correct size to replace your current one.

We do have some 30 amp power cords that can be used to replace the one you had burn out. Which one you need is going to depend on how you connect to your trailer.

Mighty Cord RV Power Cord w/ Pull Handle - 30 Amp - 90 degree Twist Lock - 25' item # A10-3025ED90

Mighty Cord Hardwire RV Power Cord w/ Pull Handle - 30 Amp - 25' item # A10-3025END

Do you see any other part numbers inside your power center or converter and what kind of connection does your 30 amp cable have where it connects to your trailer?

You can add this information, along with any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
