Manual Crank A-Frame Jack That Doesn’t Need Trailer Battery Power To Operate
Published 05/14/2026 >
Question:
My electric tongue jack quit on my small camper, and I’m thinking about going back to something simpler. What should I replace with? Something simple and manual. Also heard of this drill powered one e38AV. thanks

Hey Michelle! The etrailer Manual Sidewind Trailer Jack w/SnapPad and Drill Adapter # e38AV is a really good fit for that kind of setup.
It mounts in the standard A-frame jack location, has a 2,000 lb capacity, gives you 14" of lift, and includes the 3/4" socket so your drill can do the raising and lowering. You also get the manual sidewind handle as a backup, which is nice if the drill battery is dead. Just make sure your current jack uses the common 3" on-center 3-bolt pattern and a 2-1/4" jack tube opening. I'd be surprised if you had something else since this is what 99% of trailers have.
What camper are you working on, Michelle?
