Low Profile AC Unit Setup For Small Camper That Has To Be Short To Fit Into Shop Gargage Door

Question:

I’m replacing an old 13.5K rooftop AC on my small camper, and I’m trying to avoid going too big. I also like the idea of a lower profile unit since I have limited space and the old one was like a couple inches from hitting the top of the shop door frame. Is Advent the right direction? first time looking for a replacement. thank you.

Hey Maren! Yes, the Advent Air # ADV76SR is a good direction if your old 13,500 Btu unit cooled the camper well and you want to stay in that same size range. It’s a 13,500 Btu low-profile rooftop AC, so it gives you real RV cooling without jumping up to a 15K unit. It's only about 10-1/2" tall, compared to most units being about 13-1/2" tall.

Since # ADV76SR is the rooftop unit only, pair it with the Advent Air air distribution box with wall-mounted thermostat # ADV98SR to complete the setup. That companion kit works for ducted or ductless installs, meaning it works with campers that have ceiling vents, and works with campers that don't and just have air coming out of the distribution box on the ceiling.
