I want to add a second AC in the bedroom of my fifth wheel. Does it need to tie into my existing living room AC, or can it run separately?

Hey Anika! It can run separately as long as the RV is wired and prepped for a second rooftop AC. For a simple standalone bedroom setup, I’d look at the Furrion Chill HE # FR75TD because it’s a complete 15,000 Btu manual-control system with controls right on the ceiling air distribution box.

That means it does not need to share a wall thermostat with your existing AC. You’d control this one separately from the bedroom ceiling assembly. Do you already have a framed roof opening and 115V wiring in that bedroom location, Anika? If so, this install will be a piece of cake.
