Hey Pete, you do not need a wedge. The wedge part # PUL86RR is the correct wedge to use with both the Lippert Turning Point and a Pullrite but since you have the 1900 which is a fixed hitch you wouldn't use a wedge at all.

No, I am picking up the 5th wheel this week. This will be the first time towing with this setup. I am not sure if I will need to use the wedge, or if I will have enough clearance at the cab with the standard setup.

@Pete What you have is a fixed hitch right? If so you actually don't want to use a wedge at all.

@JamesonC Hi Chris, yes I have the fixed pullrite 1900 16K. I towed the 5th home and had issues getting the jaws to connect to the pin. It would take at least 3 tries to get the jaws to attach completely. It would only go 3/4 of the way around the pin. I backed straight into the 5th wheel pin. Not sure if this jaw design has issues. If I decide to change the hitch what would you recommend. My 5th wheel weighs 10,000lbs fully loaded and I tow with a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD.

@Peter You can't go wrong with a B and W hitch like the Patriot part # BWRVK3255! Patriots are known to have the nicest and best performing jaw systems so it will work great for you.
