Trailer Hitch and Exhaust Rattle on a 2012 Nissan Juke AWD
Updated 07/14/2014 | Published 07/11/2014 >
Question:
I recently installed the hitch. Unfortunately when my car is idling or going over bumps the muffler/tail pipe hits the hitch assembly. There isnt much clearance from the pipe to the hitch. Any suggested fixes? Hitch is mounted on 2012 Nissan Juke AWD

The issue you are describing can happen. But there are things you can do to fix the problem whether the vehicle is your 2012 Nissan Juke or on any other vehicle afflicted with hitch rattle.
I have included a link to the right to a help article that explains the different methods you could employ to correct this issue. It is possible that bending an exhaust hanger will solve the issue. Repositioning bolt-on hangers, if applicable is another possible fix. Another option is to replace a rubber isolator. And if all else fails, a muffler shop would have the expertise to fix the issue.
