Question:
I am trying to make sure the mirror would fit my truck. The Toyota dealer said that according to my VIN that neither 87940-89139 nor 87940-89149 would fit and whatever would was discontinued. My VIN is 4TAVN01D5RZ157908. I need a mirror for the drivers side. Would any of your mirrors work for my pickup? Thank you

That's a great question, Mike.
Even though the original Toyota part is discontinued, you still have a solid replacement option. The CIPA Driver Side Replacement Mirror # CM17194 is designed to match that OE fit and will bolt up in place of the 87940-89139 mirror you mentioned.
So you won’t need to worry about drilling new holes or trying to make something universal work, it’s built to fit your truck the way the original did.
If you ever need the passenger side down the road, the matching mirror would be # CM17094.

Gwendolyn, I appreciate you taking the time to write back with your recommendation. However, since I had asked the question before the weekend, we did more more research as to what 1994 Toyota pickup mirror had actually been discontinued and found that it was part number 87940-89147. When I researched the K-source one (Part # - 70012T) I found that it was supposed to be an exact fit for the -89147. The CIPA (part # 17194) was OEM for part -89139. Since the Toyota parts dealer had told me that -89139 would not fit our truck, we went ahead and ordered the K-source one and it was indeed an exact fit with absolutely no problems replacing it.
