Old Lippert Slideout Motor Has Threaded Hole, New One Does Not

Updated 04/15/2026 | Published 04/10/2026

Question:

My original motor unit has a threaded bolt hole, this replacement does not. I am wondering if there is any known workaround for this or if I ordered the incorrect replacement part. Thank you in advance.

I checked out some reviews on this issue. Some other people had a similar concern, but it turns out, the hole is not threaded because the bolt actually threads into the actuator tube. The bolt just passes through the non-threaded hole that the new style has.

Can you see if that makes sense for your setup? It doesn't seem to be a design flaw, but just an updated way of using the part.

I eventually discovered this fact after posting the question. Thank you very much and yes, this worked very well for me and now my slide-out is back up and running. Thank you.
