Looking For 30 Amp Power Cord Smart Inlet For RV That Has Cutout Hole of 3-1/4"
Updated 04/15/2026 | Published 04/08/2026 >
Question:
I am looking for a 30 amp inlet to replace the pull through cord. The hole is 3.25 and I am having a hard time finding something that will cover the existing hole. I would take either a smart cord or twist lock inlet. Hoping you have a suggestion? Thank you

Hey Joe, the Hughes Autoformers Safe View Smart Power Inlet - 30 Amp # HU66VR you were looking at does have a big enough footprint to cover the 3-1/4" hole since it measures 4-3/8" wide x 4-1/4" tall.
The screw holes themselves though are 2-7/16" apart so that is where it may not reach to the edges of your 3-1/4" hole. This is pretty standard sizing and we don't have one with a bigger footprint. I would try to fill in the space with some supplies locally and then install the smart inlet mentioned above, or a twist lock option.
Sorry there isn't a more custom fit. What do you have on their currently? I'm surprised it required a big hole like that.
