Adding MORryde RV Cargo Slide Tray As Exterior Slide Drawer to 2023 Grand Design Reflection 320MKS
Updated 04/14/2026 | Published 04/06/2026 >
Question:
I am thinking about using this product as an exterior slide drawer on my 2023 Grand Designs Reflection 320MKS- mounted below the I-beams. Of course, I would enclose the entire assembly to keep any moisture or wind out. I am assuming that doing this I could dictate what the height would be so items such as the foldable chairs and RV mats could fit I think I would only need about 8-9 inches. Your thoughts, please?!

Hey Sean! You can definitely do this with the MORryde RV Cargo Slide Tray # MR35FR. You're creating the enclosure so there are very few limitations. The main things I would consider are clearance and capacity.
You don't want it to hang down so far that you have clearance issues, and you also want to make sure your mounting points can handle the weight of the tray and the items you're storing. The tray itself is 165 lbs and is capable of holding 800 lbs, but it sounds like you'll be putting far less than that on it. I would definitely mock everything up first just to be sure it will work the way you want it to.
Where are you headed next with the Reflection once you add your slide drawer?

Hello, I bought this sliding tray about 6 months after I bought our 2023 Grand Design Solitude camper. I would never have a camper without these trays installed underneath them, they are a life saver. You never have to crawl in the storage bin to grab anything, you just slide it out to you. Ours comes out on each side of the camper so nothing is ever out of reach. This is by far one of the best upgrades I have added to our camper. Mike Latty

Mine works great as long as you measure your required envelope. The only drawback was it is 60% slide and my original was much longer extension. Other than that it is great and easy installation.

Thank you. Ninety percent of what I'd put in the slide has already been calculated in my trailer weights, so really no additional weight would be added. I'm trying to get it organized so I don't have to pull out a bunch of stuff just to get to something else in the basement. I've measured the height required to be about 8" above the slide floor (RV mat, foldable chairs, 50am cord, etc), so I wouldn't need to go below the top of the landing gear but only 2-3". We do about 12-14 trips per year, and our biggest this year is what we call our wine trip...Los Olivos/Solvang, Paso Robles, and Napa (where we go to a 4 day Jazz Getaway with our favorite artist, Brian Culbertson!). We also go to quite a few Jazz concerts in Temecula as well.
