Question:
How do you air up or air the bags down? Is there another purchase to be made as far as an air pump or air tank?

Hey Toby, that’s a great question.
I’ve actually never been asked that before, so I appreciate you bringing it up!
You can absolutely inflate and deflate the air bags manually, similar to how you would with your tires. Each bag will have its own Schrader valve, so you can fill or release air just like you would on a vehicle or bike tire. This gives you full control over the pressure so you can dial it in and keep your van level and stable under load.
Out of the box, the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57233 for your 2023 Ram ProMaster 3500 will come with an air fitting for each bag. These are typically mounted near the license plate for easy access. You can also add an Air Lift Union Tee # AL21838 if you’d prefer to have a single fill point at the back.
Another option is adding a compressor. The Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System part # AL74000EZ lets you adjust the air bag pressure right from the driver’s seat, which makes things a lot more convenient.
What are you usually hauling with your ProMaster?
