Question:
Please educate me. Ive got an old camper trailer that Ive stripped down to just the frame. I want it to be a flat bed, but the wheels at rest, are higher than the flat level of the bed. The trailer is currently 30 long, I want it to be 21 long. When I cut it down, I will have to re-weld new leaf spring mounts. In reviewing your mount kits, thinking of a 6 lift, I notice the hangers get progressively taller from front to back. Why is that? Whats on there now, those hangers are the same height. The current axles are between the springs and frame. Can I move the axles to the outside of the springs? If so, what would I need for that conversion? The axles are a type meaning they lower the frame by forming an inverted L. I assume I cannot simply roll the axle over to get a lift? Thanks for your time and expertise. Curt
