Difference between Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater FR93FR and FR98SR

Updated 04/03/2026 | Published 03/30/2026

Question:

Hi, I was looking at the Furrion RV Tankless water heater. I noticed that there are two available, one more expensive than the other, however, they seem the same. Is the difference that one has a face included and the other does not? Would you recommend this unit or the GE Profile Unit? thank you, Brian

Hey Brian, great questions!

You are correct, the Furrion Tankless water Heaters have different price points based off; with the access door for a complete setup or without the access door if you’re just replacing a previous unit.
As for choosing the best water heater, both are great options. I'd decide between these factors;

Furrion uses a traditional tankless system making it ideal for weekend or casual RV use. It heats the water as it flows and uses internal mixing to keep water temperatures consistent. The water pressure and incoming water temperatures have some affect, so you may notice small temperature changes from time to time.

GE is tankless as well but it has a small built-in mixing tank. The tank blends the hot and cold water before it reaches you. This is a better choice for frequent use and smoother temperatures.

Would you consider yourself a fulltime camper or just on occasions?
