I am looking for a “Universal” Aries ActionTrac Motorized Running Boards with Custom Installation Kit - LED Lights and “universal” mounting kit for a two door 1985 Jeep cj8/scrambler.

Hey Spencer! I have got to say that is a new request! I checked with Aries and looked at our inventory, the Universal Mounting Kit for Aries ActionTrac Motorized Running Boards item # AA66FB is what you'll need in place of custom fit brackets. This kit includes the universal mounting brackets and wiring harness you'll have to install to power the doors and lights.

The Aries ActionTrac Motorized Running Boards item # AA53DQ are the shortest length steps I could find without a custom mounting bracket option. They measure 48-3/4" long so you will definitely want to measure between the wheels of your CJ-8 to ensure this aren't going to be too long.
