Question:
I have a Thule Hullavator and a 2023 Subaru Forester Sport with factory raised side rails. Which Malone crossbars can I purchase to mount the Hullavator? Should they be 58inch long?

Hi Terrence, that’s a great question and I completely understand wanting to be sure you get the right fit.
The Thule Hullavator part # TH898 works with aero, square, and round bars, and for your Forester with raised side rails, the Malone AirFlow2 58 inch aero bars part # MPG216 are a really good fit. That 58 inch length is the right choice because it gives you the extra bar overhang needed for the Hullavator arms to clear the side of the vehicle when loading and unloading to avoid damage. These bars also come in black with part # MAL84AR.
The aero shape is also a nice bonus since it helps reduce wind noise compared to older square bars, while still giving you a solid mounting surface for the Hullavator. As long as everything is centered properly on the bars, this setup will give you the clearance and support you’re looking for.
Which side do you usually load from, and what size kayaks are you planning to carry?
