Question:

Hi, Would Bauer NE RV Entry Door Lock for Trailers - Bluetooth - Right Handed Part Number: BA53UR fit a Lance 1985 2022/2023 model year Euro entry doors. If not do you have another lock that would be a suitable replacement? BRG Peter

Hi Peter; the Bauer NE RV Entry Door Lock # BA53UR fits cutouts that measure 3-3/4" tall x 2-3/4" wide. We don't have a way of knowing which latch or cutout size you have on your travel trailer so you will have to measure to see if it will fit. If your cutout is slightly smaller you can enlarge it to add the lock.

If it is larger you can either fill the space or add those measurements in the comments below and I'll see what else is available. Did your old lock fail or are you just looking for a keyless entry upgrade?

Thank you for the answer The lock is ~ 8 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide (measured outside) I guess it is a.no joy situation. The lock is not functioning as well as I like it to (the wife hates it) so I am looking for an alternative solution (and Lance has been of no help what so ever...)

@PeterD I would pull it and get that cutout measurement. The overall measurements of this are 7-3/4" long x 5-1/4" wide which are quite a bit larger than the cutout it fits. It isn't uncommon, even on newer trailers, to run into a cutout that isn't a perfect fit for a replacement. You might just have to live with modifying it to replace the lock. Does that have the vertical style handle since it is so tall? Something like the # GL62VR might be more appropriate which fits 4.6" x 6.9" cutouts.
