Hey Mark, thanks for your question!

To attach the Thule Gateway Pro 2 Bike Rack # TH88VR on your 2025 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback, you’ll place the top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the trunk/hatch area. The straps are adjustable, so you’ll be able to get everything tightened down securely.

A trunk-mounted rack shouldn’t be attached directly to glass, so it’s a good thing the top of your hatch isn’t glass.

I don’t have any pictures of your exact vehicle with a trunk-mounted rack installed, but I did include a photo of a similar vehicle with a large hatch. On that one, the hinge area sits well above the glass, which is what you’re looking for.

I don’t see the picture you referred to. However, if you Google picture of 2025 Honda Civic hatchback sport you can see the top is Indeed all glass on the edge at the top. It was quite a surprise to me when I went to hook it up to see there was nothing on the hatchback at the top to attach to. On the far right and left edge There is some metal but it’s unclear what model would work with that.

@Mark I had searched it up but I guess the angle of the pictures I was looking at gave the look that there was metal above the glass for the hatch. You could try to give part # Y02612 a try. Its from Yakima and it replaces the top strap and hook. The strap is 1" wide x 66" long. I'm pretty sure the straps on the Thule rack are also 1" wide but if you already have the rack, you can check to make sure that they are. If they are then this adapter will work.
