Question:

I have a 2024 East to West Blackthorn 3100RL. I want install a 72x33inch Cargo Slide in my front bay area. Is there any chance of me screwing into a storage tank underneath?

Hey William, welcome back! I have no way of knowing how the thick the subflooring is on your East to West Blackthorn 3100RL or what's mounted beneath it tank or wiring wise.

MORryde includes 1" and 2-1/2" long screws with their RV Cargo Slide Tray item # MR96FR you purchased earlier this year. They recommend checking the thickness of your subflooring before install in their instructions.

I recommend taking a small drill bit and marking it every 1/2" and seeing how thick your subfloor is by slowly drilling down into it. If you're not comfortable doing this you'll need to reach out to East To West RV for their guidance.

What kind of gear do you plan on storing in the cargo tray?

I used the 3/4 inch screws. Look for where the tank vent pipe comes thru the floor and you should be able to measure the thickness

I did the same as Ed to avoid any issues with tanks, etc.. I haven't had any issues with Cargo Slide staying put.

The tray comes with a large assortment of screws, nuts, and bolts with washers to best secure your tray. I have purchased 3 trays from e-trailer and used 4 3/4” screws at each end with no issues puncturing other tanks, pipes or electrical lines. Trays remain very secure
