Question:

I am looking to replace my RV steps and am looking at Part Number MR48RR. My measurements are: ground to camper are 34 1/2. Frame to frame is 25 1/4. Actual door size is 24 3/4. will the MR48RR fit my camper?

Hey Sherri, thanks for all of the info from your RV door! Knowing all that yes the MORryde step part # MR48RR that you referenced would be the correct fit and will work great as a set of stairs to get in and out of your RV. What camper do you have?

Thanks so much. I have a 2018 Keystone Ultra Lite Bullet bunkhouse. The current steps are from the factory and are not very sturdy. We are hoping to eliminate some of the "bouncing" when entering and exiting the camper.

@SherriM Makes sense! Yeah the MORryde steps will be a lot more solid and since they have drop legs that brace on the ground.

@SherriM We really like ours it is so much better to get in and out. My wife had a stroke and it really makes a difference. We also got the hand rail with it.

@SherriM We installed these steps in our camper for the same reason. The factory steps were not sturdy at all especially for our older dog. The MORyde steps solved the issue very well. We love them. Installation was fairly easy and we have had them for 2 years now with no issues. One suggestion, etrailer also sells a storage box that fits in the cavity where the factory steps are. I am able to get two sets of stabilizer pads in this space. Not a lot of space but any storage space in a camper is welcome. Also the storage box is a lot lighter than the steps.

Yes absolutely do it! Best money I ever spent. No more worrying about those wonky factory steps, especially since I weigh north of 280. Easy peasy install - probably take about 30 minutes with minimum skill level. Do it, you will be glad you did..

As Mitch says, best money ever spent. I do not have to worry about when the kids, dogs, or even the MIL go up and down the stairs. We feel nothing inside now. It took a little bit of learning curve to remember to dry the stairs off or place a towel around the stairs when packing during rain but other than that it has been great.

I’m very happy with our steps and would recommend others to upgrade. Just a note of caution, when you set up make sure that the bottom plate that goes under the door is flat so it doesn’t hit the bottom of your door. Under certain circumstances I have found that I had to set the steps at a slightly different angle than I wanted for that clearance issue. Not a big deal and still so much better than the factory pull out steps!

I totally agree with the other positive comments here. Definitely one of the best upgrades for our travel trailer! I’d say the only drawback is w/ where you store your RV/ trailer. You’ll need plenty of space to let the steps down properly to get inside the trailer. Other than that, do it!
