Superwinch does not publish an exact duty cycle for the S7500 part # SW1475201, but their winches are designed for intermittent use. A good rule of thumb with Superwinch units is about one minute of operation followed by one minute of cooling to help prevent motor overheating.

In real-world use, that means shorter, controlled pulls rather than one long continuous run, especially when you’re closer to max capacity. As the load gets lighter, you’ll be able to run it a bit longer, but giving it those breaks is what keeps everything running smoothly and avoids that mid-pull slowdown.

What are you loading most these days, and how’s your rig set up, are you running off your tow vehicle battery or a dedicated box, and are you using synthetic rope or steel with a wired or wireless remote?
