The F250 we are using has an aftermarket Ranch bed , would this still work or is there a different one yall would suggest?

Hi Sierra; I would steer clear of the Reese, especially since the future of the company isn't certain right now. You can use universal base rails and brackets like the Curt # C16200 but you may have to modify the bed to get it to fit properly. I would reach out to the truck bed manufacturer to see if they have any tips on installation for that model. Then for a 5th wheel hitch I recommend the B&W Patriot # BWRVK3255.
What kind of 5th wheel are you towing?

Im 40 years and Aircraft Mechanic. I used the universal kit to mount my hitch Curt A16. Then found the hitch was too much for me to handle, Im 65. I'm using an alternative hitch that weighs 35lbs. I used the hitch to get my starting measurements and parallel dimension. Measure twice drill once. I oversized the holes and welded in carrier tubes ground off flush to the boxed frame for the bolts. I placed it so the weight is a smidgen forward of the axle centerline. My first haul was 4000lbs 1300mi.
