Pros and Cons of Switching From 205/75D14 to 205/75D15 Tires on 2021 Loadstar Boat Trailer

Question:
I have a 2021 Loadstar boat trailer with these same tires but in 205/75/14. Is there any benefit or con in going to a 15” rim? Just like the look of a bigger wheel is all.

Hey Shaun! If you switch to the Loadstar ST205/75D15 Trailer Tire with Black Mod Wheel # AM3S664DX you will have a higher capacity and the tires will run a little cooler. You will also get the look you want.
The only real issue is if you lose too much clearance from the larger size. Compared to the 14" you're only losing 1/2" of clearance on the top so it probably isn't a problem but it would be worth measuring to double check. Ideally you want 3" on the top for proper clearance.
