Question:
Looks like after adding sway control bracket RP26003, the end of the shaft/tread of hitch ball C40007 will just about line up with the end of the nut. Is this enough, or should I trade the ball with one that has a longer shaft?

Hey Fred.
You want at least 2 threads showing under the nut so the Curt ball part # C40007 wouldn't be idea. Brophy part # SC30-C would be a better option. It's 1/4" longer so would give you the few threads you need for the ball to be mounted safely.
What kind of trailer are you towing?
