Hey Matt, happy to help!

Yes, the Redarc part # RED53CR is the correct one to get for your 2018 Nissan Armada SV, it will work if you do or do not have the factory prep package. You will get the main Redarc unit as well as the custom harness for your Armada.

What kind of trailer are you planning on towing?

I installed the Redarc Trailer Brake Controller on my 2023 Nissan Frontier SV. Took more time to remove the panels, etc., than it did to hook it up. Works great! Mark

Hi Matt, Yes, I installed the Red53cr rec controller in my 2022 Nissan Titan. My truck was pre-wired on the left-hand side of the steering column up under the dash. You can do a search on YouTube to see what the cable looks like because they tape it up against one of the brackets. The brake controller works very well with a tandem axle trailer. The hook up was extremely simple. Getting into the dash and removing some of the panels to install, the controller was probably the most difficult thing and time-consuming. It’s really not complicated at all.

@DanH You're so right about removing the panels. They are hard to remove sometimes. Thanks for taking the time to share your install experience, Dan. What trailer have you been using the Redarc with?
