Will Furnace Work With Fogatti InstaCool RV AC

Updated 08/04/2026 | Published 02/05/2026

Question:

I have a Coleman 38203-066 that I would like to replace with the Fogatti Instacool 135 II. Will my Coleman 9430 thermostat work with the Fogatti? If not, can I wire my furnace to the Fogatti thermostat?

Hey Tom! The Coleman thermostat will not work with the Fogatti InstaCool RV AC # FG22FR. This is a new R32 system so an old R410A thermostat is not compatible. However, you will be able to connect your furnace to the Fogatti control panel so it can run your furnace as well.

Keep in mind, the Fogatti systems are only compatible with ductless setups. If you have a ducted setup let me know in the comments below and I can help you find an alternative.

What kind of trailer do you have?

Does this work with the ultra model as well?

@Russ the Fogatti InstaCool Ultra # FG94VR uses a remote, along with controls on the ADB, so it cannot control your furnace. You can either use your original thermostat or add a simple furnace thermostat like # DMC84RR.

@RobinH I am installing 2 of these Fogatti InstaCool Ultra units in my motorhome. The Fogatti installation manual and wiring diagram show that 2 blue wires marked for Furnace control are install in the upper unit. They supply a +12v signal -12 return for furnace control. I believe your answer to Russ is incorrect.

@RichardK I only see the two blue wires in the Instacool II instructions, not the Ultra, but that isn't surprising. Thanks for the update!
