Question:

Hello, We have a 2021 Winnebago Travato with a Maxxfan Deluxe Model 8501K RV fan. Occasionally during use the fan will beep and the cover close and the unit will turn off. We suspect the circuit board. Is your circuit board replacement Part Number: MA10A21275K the correct one we need? Thanks for you help.

Hi Ken!

You're spot on! The Replacement Printed Circuit Board for MaxxAir Powered Lift RV Roof Vents w/ Reversible Fan # MA10A21275K is the correct part for your Maxxfan Deluxe Model 8501K and from what you are describing, will fix the issue you are having. I would typically tell you to make sure it was manufactured after 2010, but with your Travato being a 2021, that's kind of a moot point.

One other thing to note, make sure it isn't doing that when it reaches the temperature you have it set to. That is one of its functions and it will shut off and close when it does reach the temperature you set it to. Not sure about the beep though.

Are you doing some winter camping or are you getting ready for the upcoming season?

I agree this replacement circuit board helped with this same problem we were having with the fan beeping and turning off. We have a deluxe 7500k from 2018 and first tried the recommendation of putting a voltage regulator in line to the fan from power source, due to our “12V” lithium house battery possibly delivering more volts than the fan could take (13.2ish) and while this may be the reason for the shutdowns, the voltage regulator did not work for us. But replacing the circuit board with a new version worked, probably because it has upgraded circuitry that accounts for higher voltage lithium batteries that are becoming more common. Which is why you need to replace the board with the newer version. If you follow any YouTube video on how to replace this, you’ll be fine. We didn’t run into any problems installing this that weren’t addressed in any videos.
