Question:

I have the older style Hullavator and just bought some of your new Yakima Corebars and Streamline towers for our new RAV4. Is there an adapter I can purchase to make the older Hullavators work with the Corebar profile? Thanks

Hi Rex; I'm sorry to say there are no adapters that will allow you to install the old Hullavator onto Yakima CoreBar Crossbars like # Y00422. You can swap them out for JetStream bars and see if Thule can send you the adapter for the top channels but I would make sure they still have it available before trading out the crossbars. The other option is to sell your existing Hullavator and pick up the Thule Hullavator Pro # TH898 which clamps on so it will work with the CoreBars.

Shoot, good to know. I carry a P&H Virgo, a 17" wood/fiberglass Shearwater, and a variety of friends' boats.

@Rex yeah we get asked about this a lot and there is no simple solution. Sounds like you might be using it quite a bit so upgrading to the newer Hullavator Pro # TH898 is probably the best option. This way you won't have to worry about crossbar compatibility issues if you switch vehicles again.
