Can Solar Generator Connect to Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch

Updated 02/10/2026 | Published 01/23/2026

Question:

Can i simultaneously keep shore power and a 240V solar generator connected to this transfer switch and will it give preference in feeding shore power to the load? When shore power goes off I assume it will then automatically switch to the solar generator to supply power to.the load.

Hey Prabha! Yes, you can use your solar generator with the Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch # 34270278. It will work the same way it does with an inverter, and prioritize shore power over your generator.

Keep in mind, you want to make sure your particular model has built-in inverter/transfer capability, and the AC output is compatible with the transfer switch. I would read through the manual, or ask the manufacturer, to make sure it is capable of this.

What kind of solar generator do you have?

Hey Prabha, were you able to confirm if your solar generator’s AC output works with the Go Power transfer switch? Knowing how that setup performed could help others planning a similar power system.
