Is there an alternate endcap available for these bars. Something that isnt protruding as far. The silver anchor isnt necessary.

Hey Randy, welcome back. The Replacement EndCap for Yakima HD Crossbars item # YA54FR is the only option available. They don't make other short endcaps for the Yakima HD Crossbars like item # Y01158.

I've mounted a Thule Hullavator and the endcaps extend too far to fully lower the arm. I have cut the existing endcaps and plan to form some epoxy to close it up. Had to cut beyond the silver bar. I had hoped there might be an already existing solution.
