Availability Of Replacement Caster Wheel For Detail K2 Storm Snowplow

Updated 02/10/2026 | Published 01/22/2026

Question:

On 11-12-2014 i purchased a K2 Storm snowplow order 103124381. The wheels on the bottom of the plow that aid in attaching and removal have broke off. Problem I’m having is the bolt pattern on the caster plate is a diferent dimension than any replacement casters I can find at all the hardware stores in the area. Can the casters be ordered that came with the plow 12 years ago? Thanks for your time.

Hey Terry, thanks for reaching out. I did look up your original order for the K2 Storm plow.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like K2 offers the original caster wheels as a serviceable replacement part anymore. Given the age of the plow, those casters were likely a proprietary design, which explains why the bolt pattern on the caster plate doesn’t match what you’re finding at local hardware or farm stores today.

At this point, the most realistic solution is to use a generic heavy-duty caster with a similar wheel size and load rating and either adapt the caster plate or modify the mounting holes slightly to make it work. Something like the Ultra-Fab Skid Wheel # UF48-979012. I know that’s not the ideal answer, but it’s a common approach on older plows when OEM parts are no longer available, and it can work fine once fitted correctly.

Hey Terry, how did things go with adapting the new casters for your K2 Storm plow? Were you able to get the bolt pattern to line up or make the modification work? Your update could make it easier for others trying to keep older plows in service.
