What do I Need to Rebuild My 1976 Cox Conestoga Pop-Up

Can you assist me on obtaining the parts to completly rebuild the surge drum brake system on my 1976 cox conestoga popup. Acuator, wheel drums and brake lines thanks

Hey, Walter.

We can definitely help with getting you the right part numbers however, we don't have a way to know exactly what you need based off the year, make, and model since there is no industry standard or way for us to look that up for campers. A problem we may run into is if the original axle, the spindle on that axle most likely is the older shorter spindle and we don't anything that will fit that. In that case, you would have to replace the axle. I linked a help article that goes over how to measure for an axle. From there I can find all the brake parts that would be compatible with the new axle.

For the actuator, are you wanting to replace and put a new one on the trailer or repair the one that's on there? If you want to repair I would need to know the model number of the actuator. Sometimes there is a metal plate on it or numbers in the casting of the actuator we can look up.

Now for the lines, we do carry a wide range of lengths so if you can tell me the distance from the coupler to the axle or to the first axle if there is more than one on the camper.

Let me know what you can find out and I can go from there.

Hey Walter, were you able to get the measurements for your axle and the model number from your actuator? Once you have that info, I can help match up the right brake parts for your popup. Let me know what you find so we can narrow it down.

@Gwendolyn here nj 12 degrees camper covered with snow. Will not be till warm weather us here to attempt any work. Check in with you in the spring. Thanks walt
