Is there a tripod available for use with the Curt Crosswing 5th wheel hitch?

Hey Bette, the short answer is yes! The Ultra-Fab Economy 5th Wheel King Pin Tripod Stabilizer # UF19-950500 will work for 5th wheels when they're unhooked from the Curt CrossWing Lightweight 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C92DR. It'll be able to support any 5th wheel you're using the CrossWing for, as long as your pin weight is under the 5,000-lb capacity. You can get an exact measurement at a highway weigh station. You'll hook up to the trailer and drive onto the scale with only the 4 wheels of the truck sitting on the scale. You can then unhook from the trailer and measure the weight of the truck. You'll subtract the truck's weight from the weight while connected to the trailer to determine your pin weight.
What trailer are you going to be taking out? Will you be towing more than one with your truck?

Hey Bette, how did things go with the Ultra-Fab tripod and your Curt CrossWing hitch? Did it give your 5th wheel the stability you needed when unhooked? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar combo.
