Will Seaflo Battery Disconnect Switch Melt On 2007 Holiday Rambler

Question:
I have installed 2 270 amp Battery disconnect switches in my 2007 Holiday Rambler that I ordered from Amazon and both have melted. We are only running an Epoch 460AMH Battery. Will the Seaflo Battery disconnect work in this application with out melting

Hi Dwayne; the Seaflo Battery Disconnect Switch # SE29VR does have a higher rating than the ones you got off Amazon. Those look like knockoffs of the BEP Marine switch so quality is probably lacking as well. However, you need to determine what your power draw is to be sure. If you will be exceeding the 300A continuous and 500A intermittent rating you will still end up melting the switch.
