Hi Dwayne!
The Replacement 2" and 2-5/16" Dual-Sided Hitch Ball for Curt 2" Adjustable Ball Mount # C45912 will fit inside a 3" channel and the Curt 5-Position Adjustable Channel Bracket # C48650 is a 3" channel, so they will indeed fit together.
Out of curiosity, what are you wanting to install this on? Most people get this ball as a replacement for the ball mount. Can't say I have had anyone ask about using it in a channel like this before.

Hey Dwayne, how did things go pairing the dual-sided hitch ball with the Curt channel bracket? Your setup sounds a bit different, so hearing how it worked could help others trying the same combo.
